Who We Are
Weg des Lebens is a Christian community in Schorndorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Our heart is to grow together ever more deeply into the fullness of life that God has for us.
We believe that this life flows from encountering God: from the Father's love, the new life we have in Jesus Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit. In His presence, we increasingly discover who we are in Him, experience healing and freedom, and grow into our calling and purpose.
For us, this life is inseparably connected to life in community. God's love not only draws us into relationship with Him but also connects us with one another as brothers and sisters. What we receive in our relationship with God is meant to become visible in the way we relate to one another — through acceptance, honour, trust, and genuine care.
We therefore understand the church as a spiritual family — shaped by authentic relationships, shared growth, and a desire to make God's Kingdom visible wherever He has placed us.
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10
These words of Jesus capture what lies at the heart of who we are. We believe that this fullness grows through a living relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and finds visible expression in our shared life as a spiritual family. This is why we are called Weg des Lebens — Way of Life.
Our Story
Many of us come from a Christian background shaped by a deep love for the Word of God. We are grateful for this heritage — that love for Scripture remains with us today and continues to form the foundation of our faith.
At the same time, along our own journey, we have experienced how the Christian faith can sometimes be reduced to knowledge, tradition, or religious forms. What has transformed our lives most deeply is something different: a personal encounter with the living God, and especially with the person of the Holy Spirit.
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have become living realities to us — a God who acts, speaks, and reveals Himself today. We have come to know a God who speaks to His children, transforms hearts, heals people, releases spiritual gifts, and makes His presence tangible.
This encounter has made the Word of God come alive and become a lived reality for us. Truth we once understood became faith we could experience, and knowledge grew into a living relationship with God. This continues to shape our journey together today. The Word of God is a trustworthy guide, leading us ever deeper into encounter with the living God and into the tangible reality of His Kingdom.
We believe that life with God is a continual invitation to encounter Him more deeply, to be led by Him, and to experience the reality of His Kingdom more and more. We understand our faith as a journey we walk together with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is exactly why we are called Weg des Lebens — Way of Life.

What Matters to Us
What defines our faith and shapes our life with God can be expressed through several core convictions.
The Father's Love
At the heart of the Gospel is the Father's love. The Father welcomes us into His family as beloved sons and daughters. As we encounter His heart, we grow in identity, security, and spiritual maturity. From the place of His love, we learn to live, to love, and to become more and more the people He created us to be.
The Work of Jesus Christ
Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ has opened the way for us to the Father. When we entrust our lives to Him, we receive forgiveness and reconciliation with God and are born again by His Spirit. In Him, we receive new life, freedom, and an eternal inheritance.
We believe in the crucified, risen, and exalted Christ, who is seated at the right hand of the Father and whose reign will never end. Our desire is to know Him more deeply and become more like Him.
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the living presence of God in our lives. He reveals the Father and the Son to us, leads us into truth, and enables us to experience the reality of God.
We believe in being filled with the Holy Spirit and desire to live in close fellowship with Him, to be led by Him, and to make room for His work among us. This naturally includes His gifts, His power, and His supernatural activity.
The Word of God
The Bible is our highest authority and the defining standard for our life with God. We align our thinking, our actions, and our experiences with Scripture.
Through the Holy Spirit, the Word of God comes alive, speaks into our lives, and leads us ever deeper into encounter with the living God and into the reality of His Kingdom.
Praise and Worship
For us, worship is the surrender of our whole being to God — with heart, spirit, soul, and body, with our lips and with our lives. It is an expression of our love, gratitude, and adoration.
As we honour God wholeheartedly and turn our hearts toward Him, we experience Him meeting us with His presence, revealing His glory, and opening heaven over us. In this way, worship becomes a place of encounter where heaven and earth come together.
Hearing God's Voice
Jesus says, "My sheep hear My voice." We believe that God speaks to His children today and that every believer can learn to recognise His voice personally. We want to help people grow in discerning His voice, trusting His leading, and living with spiritual maturity in their relationship with Him.
Community as a Spiritual Family
As brothers and sisters in God's family, we desire to build relationships marked by open hearts, trust, honour, and genuine care for one another. Together, we want to grow, support one another, and create a place where people are seen and know that they belong.
Calling and Equipping
Every person is uniquely created by God and called to a life of meaning and purpose. We want to help people discover their calling, grow spiritually, and be equipped and released into what God has entrusted to them.
We believe that Jesus gives gifts and ministries to His church so that believers may grow into maturity and take their place in the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God
For us, the Kingdom of God is a present and tangible reality. We want to see His rule become visible in people, families, churches, and society. Wherever His will is done, love, freedom, healing, justice, and restoration become visible.
As part of the local and global Body of Christ, we celebrate every expression of what God is doing in His church and beyond. Together with others, we want to participate in seeing His Kingdom come, His name honoured, and His glory made visible on the earth.
The Fivefold Ministry
We believe that Jesus Christ gives apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to His Ekklesia — His worldwide Body. Their calling is to equip believers for the work of ministry and to build up the Body of Christ. For us, this fivefold design of God is not a structure that belongs to the past, but an enduring gift of Christ to His people.
Where these ministries work together in healthy partnership, mutual honour, and complementarity, believers are led into maturity, strengthened in their calling, and equipped to take their place in the Kingdom of God. At the same time, the Kingdom of God is greater than the local church: God's rule is meant to become visible in every sphere of life — in individuals and families, in relationships and vocations, in cities, societies, and nations.
We believe that the Body of Christ is called to make God's presence, His will, and His rule visible on the earth. The fivefold ministry helps equip believers for this calling, so that God's Kingdom may come and His will may be done — on earth as it is in heaven.
Life in All Its Fullness
Jesus came so that we may have life and have it in all its fullness. We discover this fullness more and more deeply through relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Together, we want to grow into all that God has given His children and embrace the life to which He has called us.
